Kindle Sudoku and Kakuro

Kindle Sudoku from Cluemaster offers a full set of features and our renowned expertly graded puzzles.

The secret to a good Sudoku puzzle is all in the grading. All our puzzles have been expertly graded by solving each puzzle using 36 techniques. Once the puzzle has been solved the results are analyzed and a score is given based on which techniques were required to solve it. If the puzzle does not have a logical path to solving which requires guesswork, then that puzzle is rejected. This means that in order to solve the higher grades of puzzles some advanced techniques will have to be employed.

Auto Possibles

Auto possibles check for numbers that exist in the same row, column and box. As you enter numbers into the puzzle those numbers will be removed from the possibles.

A first step is to set numbers where the pencil marks have only one value (which means that the cell can only contain one number).

The second step is to look for pencil numbers which only occur once in a row, column or box.

With Kakuro the auto possibles also take into account the possible values as dictated by the required total. For example if the total is 4 then this can only be obained by using 1,3 or 3,1 therefore only these two pencil numbers will be inserted.

Auto Check

Auto check shows you which entries are incorrect. This is shown by inverting the cell colours (an incorrect entry shows as a white number on a black background).
